Re: i been to this sad web sight called remebering the dead,
Sat, January 5, 2008 - 4:32 PMSo sorry to hear about your friend. I realize I'm still a stranger to you, but you have my support in whatever way I can offer it.
I would hope that if Tribe shuts down that free-association.net would become more popular as an alternative, since it was created with the intention of being more open than tribe and having a more liberal TOU. They've just recently finished drafting their constitution and although it would have been nice to see more activity before they finished the draft, the truth is it's the only site I know of that is actually governed by its members. The Tribe TOU is limited by the laws where Tribe is hosted among other things. The folks who set up FA chose a country specifically (I think somewhere in the Caribbean) to host the site, where the laws would be more liberal and less restrictive on their TOU.

Sun, January 6, 2008 - 4:18 AMUnfortunately what a friend of mine said is true. Wfat we don't understand we fear. What we fear we destroy. I believe that a litle effort on our part to understand, accept and love our fellow man goes a long way. -

Re: i been to this sad web sight called remebering the dead,
Mon, January 7, 2008 - 6:12 PMHi Dawnel,
Well, I don't know what the issue is. There are a lot of transguys that don't seem to want to "talk" to me. I have no simpathy to those that are supposed to be part of a group of people where there are similarities. So, as far as solidarity is concerned amongst transguys, I personnally don't see it. I've set up my own tribe, but no one seems to want to join. I experience a lot of reverse discrimination and ignorance amongst members of my own race, so, I have very little to no tolerance to those that treat other trans and intersexed people with suspicion, hate and ignorance.
I have compassion for them, because they live in fear themselves. Meaning that they fear and question their own gender identity, and have no respect for those of us that have come to terms with and accept our gender identity.
So, as heartless as it sounds, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they did close down tribe.
Thanks and prayer does work.
Sebastian
